The Powell Butte Grassland Bird Surveys are back in 2023!

Conservation InSight is looking for volunteers to help us survey birds at Powell Butte Nature Park in Portland, Oregon. We are collaborating with the Johnson Creek Watershed Council and Portland Parks & Recreation on a Citizen Science project to collect data on the bird community and composition at Powell Butte Nature Park. Trainings for those interested in participating in the 2023 Powell Butte Grassland Bird Surveys have been scheduled:

Virtual Training: 4/5/2023, 5:00 PM

Field Training (Day 1): 4/7/2023, 8:00 AM

Field Training (Day 2): 4/8/2023, 8:00 AM

Please click on the link below to sign up for trainings at the Johnson Creek Watershed Council website. All volunteers must complete the virtual training and one of the field trainings to participate.
